The Abdul Sattar Edhi Foundation has been established for more than 100 years and the work is spread worldwide. People from everywhere have been able to take advantage of the services that the foundation provides. People have relied on the organization at times of poverty and trouble and have not been turned away empty-handed. Abdul Sattar Edhi is a globally known philanthropist. He was originally from India and moved to Karachi. On their arrival in Pakistan, he witnessed the poverty that was apparent and that was that. He dedicated his life to do as much as he could for humanity and the people around him. He founded the Edhi Foundation in 1951 which was funded privately. It was a non-government organization that grew purely because of the efforts and passion of Abdul Sattar Edhi.

Doodle made it a point to honour the humanitarian philanthropist and to make sure the world was aware of what Edhi did for it. Doodle believes that Edhi deserved to be set on a pedestal mainly because of the kind of work that he did. Every act of his was always so selfless, he never spent a penny received by the foundation on personal expenses, which can be a common theme when it comes to social activists. There is a very popular quote by Edhi which goes “My mission is to love human beings” and he did. He loved human beings and did everything he could for them till his last breath.
