Edhi Foundation Receiving the ISA Award

What did the Edhi Foundation receive the ISA award for?

The Edhi foundation won the ISA award for their service to humankind. There was a ceremony held in Bahrain to honor the foundation and for the remembrance of Abdul Sattar Edhi. The ISA award is usually given on the basis of help and services to people of all races and gender sans discrimination, combined with the lack of any sort of politics or conflict. The Edhi foundation was declared to be one of the best and organic foundations that the world had ever seen.

Many different services are found under the Edhi foundation namely, orphanages, shelters and old people homes. They even have places for people to come and eat without paying any money at all. Edhi also established various animal shelters to protect animals from harm. Perhaps the most popular contribution that Edhi has made to society is the Edhi Ambulance. Without the Edhi Ambulance, chances for the survival of the poor and weak would’ve been quite meek.

Conclusion

It is important to acknowledge the do-gooders in our society because in this age of selfishness, it is becoming increasingly rare to find people who are willing to help other people. For this reason, acknowledgement and an accolade every now and then is there to help keep these people motivated and prepared. The Edhi Foundation is known to spread this help far and wide in an international aspect which makes them as deserving as any for the ISA Award.
